Tree work comes first when damage is still overhead.

Let Matt know about hanging limbs, split trunks or trees resting on buildings. He’ll coordinate the removal with experienced, insured tree professionals. Tree removal includes debris cleanup.

Then there’s the material left behind.

Describe the limbs, brush and trunk sections you need cleared. Include blocked driveways or gates, and whether you’d like wood retained or hauling included in the quote. If the stump stays, Matt can grind the remaining stump once the site is clear.

A storm can leave broken trees, scattered limbs and tangled brush across yards, driveways and property entrances. Cleanup starts with the full area affected and the spaces you need to use first.

Tell Matt what’s blocking access and what you’d like cleared. He’ll help define the work, including where debris should go and whether damaged trees need a separate assessment.

A few practical answers.

Can I request cleanup after an ice storm?

Yes. Describe the fallen trees, limbs or brush and any blocked areas. Stay clear of hanging branches and unstable trees. Matt will discuss the scope and current availability with you.

Does cleanup include hauling away the wood and brush?

Tell Matt whether you want material hauled away, kept as wood or placed in an agreed spot. Your quote should spell out disposal and what’ll remain on the property.

How soon can the cleanup happen?

Call or text to ask about current availability. Share your location and any blocked access so Matt can understand your priorities. Timing needs to be confirmed for your project.

What affects the price?

The amount and size of the debris, equipment access, nearby structures and the requested finish all affect the quote. Some damage needs an on-site assessment before it can be priced.

Can you address the remaining stump?

Yes. Ask Matt to include stump grinding in your quote. When it’s done at the same time as Heartland’s tree removal, mulch cleanup and hauling are included. Soil, seeding and lawn restoration are separate.

Do I need photos before contacting Matt?

No. The storm cleanup form accepts requests without photos. If you can safely photograph the damage, a wider view and a view of the entrance are helpful. Don’t approach hazards to get a better picture.
